Die erste Erkenntnis: Ende 2025 stand die europäische Softwareindustrie vor einem künstlichen Dilemma. Einerseits die Geschwindigkeit und Entwicklererfahrung moderner BaaS-Plattformen (Supabase, Firebase), die alle an die US-Gerichtsbarkeit gebunden sind und extraterritorialen CLOUD Act-Gewährleistungen unterliegen. Andererseits waren souveräne Alternativen oft fragmentiert, langsamer und umständlich in der Umsetzung.
Der Low-Level-Ansatz: Wir beschlossen, in Rust ganz von vorn anzufangen. Kein Go, kein Node.js, keine JVM. Rust liefert Netzwerklatenzen von weniger als einer Millisekunde, eliminiert alle Pausen des Garbage Collectors und garantiert Speichersicherheit zur Kompilierungszeit. Auf dieser Grundlage erhält jedes Projekt einen dedizierten PostgreSQL 17-Cluster, der von CloudNativePG orchestriert wird.
Eine konkrete Realität im Jahr 2026: Aurabase SAS ist heute ein profitables Unternehmen mit Sitz in Toulouse, das 14 Produktions-Microservices in drei europäischen Rechenzentren betreibt. Ihre Daten verlassen niemals den Kontinent und Sie behalten die vollständige Kontrolle durch offene Standardprotokolle ohne proprietäre Forks.
