Aurabase Cloud è una piattaforma europea Backend-as-a-Service costruita con Rust su PostgreSQL 17. Combina un database dedicato, autenticazione supportata da Vault, storage S3, Edge Functions e un server MCP nativo in un'infrastruttura sovrana senza dipendenza dagli hyperscaler americani.

La realizzazione iniziale: alla fine del 2025, l’industria europea del software si è trovata di fronte a un dilemma artificiale. Da un lato, la velocità e l’esperienza degli sviluppatori delle moderne piattaforme BaaS (Supabase, Firebase), tutte vincolate alla giurisdizione statunitense e soggette ai diritti extraterritoriali del CLOUD Act. D’altro canto, le alternative sovrane erano spesso frammentate, più lente e difficili da implementare.
L’approccio di basso livello: abbiamo deciso di partire da un foglio bianco in Rust. Niente Go, niente Node.js, niente JVM. Rust fornisce latenze di rete inferiori al millisecondo, elimina tutte le pause del garbage collector e garantisce la sicurezza della memoria in fase di compilazione. Su questa base, ogni progetto riceve un cluster PostgreSQL 17 dedicato orchestrato da CloudNativePG.
Una realtà concreta nel 2026: Aurabase SAS è oggi un'azienda redditizia, fondata a Tolosa, che gestisce 14 microservizi di produzione in tre data center europei. I tuoi dati non lasciano mai il continente e mantieni il controllo totale attraverso protocolli aperti standard senza fork proprietari.
